21 September 2013: Sloes
Sloes, the fruit of the blackthorn, are now ripening. Blackthorns can be found in the hedgerows on Hampstead Heath. These slows are growing on a tall shrub between the two Cohen's Fields, near the Goodison Fountain.

...and now it is Summer
Upper Cohen's Field, 15 July 2012
And this morning, it even felt like summer! I went out onto the Heath with my camera for the first time in months, and summer had arrived. Here are three photos to make up for the lack of photos in the last months (and the lack of summer in England this year).

Meadow Geraniums on Pryors Field
And then it was Spring...
London seen from the top of Milfield Lane, 15 April 2012
In the winter months, I didn't have much time anymore to visit the Heath as regularly as I would have liked to, so in the last half year I didn't take many photos and didn't post any here. I'm hoping to be able to make more time for this again, although I feel that a photo a day is too ambitious, and too wet, so I may just post more photos taken on nice days (do you hear that, weather?).

21 September 2011: Cohen's Fields
Looking across the upper Cohen's Field from the top of Millfield Lane, to Athlone House, which is hiding behind the autumnal looking chestnut trees.
See on the map where this picture was taken.
